Judy Nemer Sklar is a professional artist residing in Palm Desert, California. She works primarily in water media on paper and canvas.
She has won numerous regional and national awards and her work has sold in the United States and abroad.
Statement of the Artist:
This show "Conversations in Color", reflects my ongoing interest in music, the writing process, snippets of conversations, and most of all, it is about color. For me, color always comes first.
Because I love working with paper I often use watercolor as my medium of choice. However, out of a desire to more fully immerse myself in the art making process, I frequently use mixed media; sometimes incorporating my daily sketches into finished pieces using acrylics and/or watercolor and collage, embellished with pencil, pen and ink, sometimes mounted on canvas and varnished.
My passion is creating art. Color, music and words capture my attention. I hope they capture yours.
