About the Artist:
Dara Shay is a natural born artist inspired to express her life experiences in the form of drawings, paintings and three dimensional creations.
Her eye for detail is impeccable and her perspective and expression of everyday life is unique.
Dara is an eight year old third grader who has been creating unique works of art since she was three. Her early work was mostly colored markers, pencils
and crayons on paper with life form drawings of dogs, cats, people, houses, butterflies, insects and trees. Her current work "Katz n' Thingz" was
inspired by watching her kitten grow into a fully grown cat this past year, and her real life experiences. Recently, Dara has expanded her artistic
creations to shape and paint rockz and other things of nature.
Statement of the Artist:
"I have a cat and I was inspired to draw lots of cats with character in them, and gave them "Kat-chy" titles like cool cat, servant, princess, 80's cat and
other fun names. My cat Cinderella is a crazy cat who thinks she's human."
